Domain Blocker is a Windows application that can block domains using wildcard
by filtering DNS queries. Some of its features include options to
block most abused TLDs, adult/porn domains, dynamic DNS domains, free website hosting domains and
social networks. We included also a Lockdown Mode to allow
only domains present in the AllowList.db file. Please note that this program will not work if you
use a
secure DNS (DoH) and Encrypted Client Hello (ECH).
For Windows 7 SP1, 8, 8.1, 10, 11 (32/64-bit)
If you need a simple program to block domains using wildcard such as *.domain.com
then this program may be for you! It
has a simple GUI to configure everything, it monitors any process (except Metro UI processes and session 0 processes) and you can choose
to exclude processes
or monitor only specific processes like *\chrome.exe. If you use this program you should not use Secure DNS (DoH), you should use unencrypted DNS servers
such as 8.8.8.8 or the one assigned by your ISP.
You can block domains using wildcard, for example *porn* or *.domain.com
Allow only domains that match your AllowList.db rules and block the rest.
If needed you can enable logging to Windows Event Log.
The application doesn't modify any Windows OS setting to work.
With the Configurator GUI you can easily change the program settings.
With Passive Logging enabled domains are not blocked but only logged.
Here there are some screenshots of the application.
